Economic Development

Economic development is important to our community and to Box Butte County. The health of the economy will determine our ability to hold and attract young people, offer quality schools, government services and medical facilities and support a variety of retail and service businesses. Economic development is important to all residents of all ages and occupations.
Box Butte Development Corporation  (BBDC) has identified an ongoing, three-pronged approach to economic development, which includes recruitment of new businesses and industry, retention and expansion of existing business and assistance of start up businesses. The success of economic development in the area is due in part to local, regional and national contacts with organizations and entities. It is through those contacts BBDC personnel become aware of resources, especially funding resources that are available to businesses. BBDC strives “To Enhance and Diversify the Economy of Box Butte County”.
