Education

Alliance places a high value on education, for children and adults. Our children’s educational facilities include: two private elementary school, St. Agnes Academy; and Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School, two public elementary schools, Grandview and EmersonAlliance Middle School and Alliance High School. Due to a partnership between Western Nebraska Community College and the Alliance Public Schools, students have the ability to get an associates of arts degree in tandem with a high school diploma.
Our adult educational opportunities include: Western Nebraska Community College and Chadron State College. Our colleges offer everything from associates through masters degree programs; including disciplines ranging from nursing to business administration.
Alliance Public Schools is designed to provide students with a continuous education patter, regardless of which school they attend. The strength of this effort rests on the comprehensive approach to reading, language, arts and mathematics. Computer labs networked into each classroom provide both the teachers and the students with state-of-the-art hardware and software programs.
The quality continuing education in Alliance received a boost in 1999 with the completion of the Alliance Learning Center. The center serves as home of the Alliance Public Library, Western Nebraska Community College, and Chadron State College’s distance learning program.
