Chamber Committee Information

Committees are the lifeline of the Chamber. It is through the Chamber committees and volunteers that the Chamber is able to enact change and is able to help businesses and the community at large. All of the Chamber committees are open to any employee of any Chamber member. The meetings are always open to new members. Ag Committee: This committee exists to promote cooperation and understanding between the agricultural community and the business and professional people of Alliance. It meets the first Monday of the month at 1st National Bank at noon. The 2006 Co-Chairmen are Mike Stull mstull@fnbnp.com and Greg Powell greg.powell@lpl.com.

Ambassadors: This committee serves as the goodwill, public relations and membership arm of the Chamber. These individuals are informed members who recognize the value and importance of investment by members of the community in the future of Box Butte County. This group meets the last Wednesday of the month at noon at the spotlight business. The 2006 Co-Chairmen is Dennis Cohen dxcohen@parker.com.

Legislative: This committee promotes the interest of the Alliance and Box Butte County area to governmental agencies on the local, state, and national level. They host opportunities to personally meet with the representatives of the various levels of government. Please contact the chamber at 308-762-1520 for more information.

Heritage Days: This committee coordinates the annual Heritage Days celebration. They oversee the many fun and exciting events. They meet monthly from February through August. This year's Chairperson is Lue Nerland, luenerland@hotmail.com.

Leadership Box Butte is a personal and professional development program dedicated to preparing men and women of Box Butte County for leadership roles. The committee steering meets the first Thursday of the month at noon at BBGH in the Hemingford Room. The 2006 Chairpersons are Lori Mazanec of BBGH, lmazanec@bbgh.org and Mike Sautter.

Promotion: This committee exists to promote the merits of shopping locally and its many benefits. This committee meets the fourth Thursday of each month at noon at the Chamber. The 2006 Chairperson is Dan Griess of Box Butte General Hospital dgriess@bbgh.org

Historic Main Street Alliance works to promote our downtown district through historic preservation and promotion. The 2006 Chairperson is Bob Neville.
